April was music month in Acorns. Our aim was to develop in children a love for music, to encourage them to sing and dance and to become familiar with various musical instruments.

One of our guests was Elena Stoica, violin player. Elena talked to the children about why she chose this instrument and why she likes it. She taught them the violin’s components, how it produces sound and the C major scale. She played for them some familiar songs like “The Wheels on the Bus” and “Row your Boat” and then everybody got a chance to try out the violin. Thank you, Elena for an inspiring session!
