For this day, the children listened to the sounds of bagpipes, this being a common instrument played in Scotland, and danced to Scottish music. They created their own „Highland Gathering” by throwing foam balls and had a blue day – all children were invited to wear something blue, play with blue play dough, water, shaving foam and spaghetti to reflect the colours of the Scottish flag.

In Popa Soare, children were invited to wear something tartan for this special day about Scottish music, dance and symbols associated with this part of the UK. Children in School Years took part in a dance workshop in which they learnt some simple Scottish dance steps, became familiar with the rhythm and sound of traditional music.
