On Wednesday 4th October, Rainbows and Early Explorers met Gigica, a therapy dog who has worked with more than 1000 children. Gigica came with some human friends from the Utility Dogs Association who train search-and-rescue dogs and those used in therapy to help children who have experienced trauma or who have disabilities.
The children heard about Gigica’s story, saw the clever things that she could do to help others and they were taught how to stay safe when meeting dogs on the street.
